Morning:
This morning I started the visual part of my project based on age and anatomy, by drawing from some of my initial photographs that I took of a skeleton (up close and from a distance). I started an A1 line drawing sheet from these photograph, I used fine liner, pencil and pro-markers to create a continuous line. I left these very loose and quite messy. I did this as I was looking at the work of one of my artists, Tavares Strachan, who uses wire and lights to create his free standing installations and sculptures. I wanted my drawings to have a similar effect. I used a fine liner to recreate the wire and the pro-marks to represent the effect of the lights. I feel that this worked well and is a quick way to create initial images.

Afternoon:
In the afternoon I did some timed studies using different techniques on different sized paper, from A2-A9 size.
I created these from the photographs I had taken and from actual animal skulls from college, so I could look at the textures and colours of a real skull. I think that these worked well and look effective, as I think they are a good representation of the bones and are a good base to start the project on.
I used pen, pencil, ink, pro-markers, fine liners and watercolour paints to create these quick studies.
