Today I was going to do some intaglio printing from the printing plate that I created last week, based on my photograph collage. However my plate was too thick so the roller wouldn't go over it without breaking it, and the technician wasn't in so I will have to do it next week, when I can get the roller lifted.
I didn't waste the day, I continued to add more detail to the plate, to add more of a variation in darks and lights when printed. I did this by engraving deeper in some areas and lighter in some places, so that the ink goes in deeper and more ink will be transferred, when I print. Hopefully this will make my print even better and more detailed.
